What a packet answers

training_use — Do they train their models on your data?
retention — How long do they keep your data?
deletion — What happens when you ask them to delete it?
zero_data_retention — Is ZDR available, on what conditions?
processing_regions — Where is your data processed?
subprocessors — Who else touches it?

Every answer is an exact quote with source URL and capture date. Where a vendor does not answer, the packet says NOT_SPECIFIED.

Archive history exists because vendors changed their terms long before Verbatim's first capture: one archived capture per vendor source per quarter (2023 onward), run through the same extractor and differ as the live captures. A persistent change still held in the following quarter's capture; provisional changes are reported separately and never mixed into the persistent count. Quarterly archived packets carry per-source archive timestamps and archive URLs, so every historical quote can be checked against the archive itself.

These are the research-backed agent prices enacted 2026-10-23, replacing the original $5 / $12 guess: list free, packet $0.10, comparison $0.05 (charged only when a comparison actually ran). On the Apify Actor the same prices apply with platform usage included, plus an all-46-vendors bundle at $2.99 per run; failed or unknown-vendor runs are not charged. The $149 CAD human Evidence Pack is a separate product and is unchanged. Intended rates apply when Verbatim is listed in Composio Instant (toolkit CUSTOM_VERBATIM). Direct REST/MCP calls are open during the pilot.

Compare behaviour

Compare diffs the two most recent dated captures. It names both dates and a change count, with before/after quotes per changed dimension. With fewer than two captures it returns compared: false and the dates that exist. A comparison is never fabricated from a single capture.

Errors

Unknown slug: HTTP 404 (REST) or an MCP error result pointing to verbatim_list_vendors.
GET /compare/<slug>: HTTP 405 — compare requires POST.
GET /mcp: HTTP 405 — the MCP endpoint requires POST.
